Steel calibrated plates are what a powerlifting bar is for: thin enough that 300 kg-plus actually fits between the collars, accurate enough that the number on the bar is the number on the platform. IRONWOD forges the change plates and chromes them, casts the big colour-coded discs, and holds the whole run to gram-level tolerances.
